Experts have repeatedly expressed that Rawalpindi region is facing peak season for dengue fever transmission and the existing weather conditions are the most suitable for mosquitoes’ breeding and growth of larvae of ‘aedes aegypti’, the vector that causes dengue fever.
Many health experts say that the spread of the infection can be controlled if sufficient awareness is created among individuals and they own responsibility of eradicating larvae of the ‘aedes aegypti’ and eliminating mosquitoes’ breeding sites from the areas they are living in.
