KARACHI - Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, seized 5 kilograms of heroin recovered from the toilet of the PIA aircraft departing for London.
The heroin was recovered in a routine checking conducted with the help of sniffer dogs. Sources said the same aircraft arrived from Lahore on Thursday noon and was brought to the hanger for maintenance for 24 hours.
The same aircraft was scheduled for London as a flight PK787 when the heroin was recovered during a routine checking.
Investigators failed to ascertain the culprits involved in dumping the drug while an FIR has been lodged and further investigation is in progress.
