Keep up to date as Bangladesh host the Black Caps in the first Test from Chittagong.

Bangladesh 501 (148.5 overs, Haque 181, Rahim 67, Sohag Gazi 101*,Rubel Hossain 4)
New Zealand get to the tea break with no further damage done and it's clear that a laboured Peter Fulton, 23 off 83 balls, and first innings centurion Kane Williamson , 10 off 22 balls, are digging in for the long haul. The circumspect approach was needed after Rutherford's wicket but let's hope that they pick up the scoring rate soon. Please.

And Rutherford is gone! We may have put the mockers on him but he was plumb. Nasir Hossain, in his first over, pushes one up and the New Zealand opener inexplicably plays back, trying to work it on the leg-side, and his caught on his pads. Disappointing for Rutherford after another decent start.

Bangladesh 501(148.5 overs, Haque 181, Rahim 67, Gazi 101*)
The Black Caps have reclaimed the lead with Hamish Rutherford and Peter Fulton untroubled against Bangladesh's spin attack. Rutherford has raced to 31 off 37 balls, with three fours and one six, and the onus will be on him to kick on after a similarly bright start in the first innings. If you were wondering - a draw is still paying $1.10.

And finally Bangladesh is all out! Sohag Gazi finishes unbeaten on 101 after number 11 Rubel Hossain's (4) attempted drive off Ish Sodhi flew to Brendon MccCullum who took a smart catch at slip.
Doug Bracewell ends with 3/96 to be the pick of the New Zealand bowlers while Sodhi (2/112) and Trent Boult (2/50) bagged two wickets each.
So slight advantage to Bangladesh and it will be interesting to see what McCullums's side does now. Do they hunt for quick runs so they can set a four innings chase early tomorrow or do they use the final five sessions as batting practice? One suspects the former.

Sohag Gazi slashes a short Doug Bracewell delivery over gully for his maiden Test century. It was a streaky shot but it doesn't matter as the Chittagong crowd goes wild. Well done young man!

Doug Bracewell strikes! The bury quick dug it in and Robiul Islam's (33) pull shot went straight up for Ross Taylor to take the easiest of catches at point. Sohag Gazi is just four runs away from his hundred but does he trust number 11 Rubel Hossain?

Sohag Gazi is closing in on his maiden Test century with a devastating rear-guard effort that has given the hosts an unlikely 22-run first innings lead.
The Black Caps will be pleased to know that Gazi's first class stats aren't that bad - he averages in the mid-20s and has hit two centuries at that level - but still this is an innings
New Zealand will want to quickly forget.Gazi has been particularly brutal down the ground in hitting three sixes and nine fours and his eighth wicket partnership with Robiul Islam is now worth 104 runs.
Trent Boult (2/50) picked up the only wicket of the session, when he trapped, Abdur Razzak plumb in front, but despite the odd bit of turn and low bounce, this pitch remains easy pickings.

With 150 overs of the Test remaining, there is only one real result possible and the TAB agrees - a draw is paying $1.10.

The wicket of Abdur Razzak was a false dawn as tailender Sohag Gazi has frustrated New Zealand with his maiden Test half century. He has been streaky at times but the upshot is that the hosts trail by just 40 runs. Draw anyone?

Trent Boult has struck! He pitched up a delivery and it moved just enough from off stump to catch Abdur Razzak plumb in front of middle. Two wickets to go.

The monsoon weather forecasted has held off and we are underway with Trent Boult opening day four and New Zealand on the hunt for three quick wickets.

If you're a betting man/woman then your money will almost certainly be on the first Test in Chittagong ending in draw.
Mominul Haque's fine knock of 181 took Bangladesh close to New Zealand's first-innings total of 469 last night and at stumps, tailenders Sohag Gazi (28) and Abdur Razzak (one) were at the crease with the hosts on 380 for seven wickets, trailing the touring side by 89 runs.
The pitch has few demons, although it is getting lower and slower, while New Zealand's spinners, Ish Sodhi (1/89), Bruce Martin (0/83), Kane Williamson (1/24) have hardly been a factor.
Adding to the frustration is a weather forecast that suggests we could be in for a lot of rain but we'll keep you updated. Play is scheduled to start at 4:30pm.
